Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 14: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami flagged off vacuum-based cleaning machines for 13 district panchayats under the ‘Swachhta Apnao, Bimari Bhagao’ campaign at Gandhi Park in Dehradun ahead of Independence Day.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by offering flowers to his statue and administered the oath of cleanliness to the attendees. He emphasized the importance of cleanliness and urged residents to collect garbage at designated places to keep their villages and cities clean.

CM Dhami also paid tribute to the victims of Partition on ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day,’ remembering the pain and suffering endured by families during the 1947 Partition.

Earlier, on August 13, CM Dhami held a review meeting of the CM Dashboard in the Secretariat, instructing all departments to upload project data within 15 days and make the portal user-friendly. He highlighted the state’s commitment to empowering women through self-help groups, with 893 stalls set up to sell local products made by these groups.
