Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 10: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved the release of funds for various developmental projects across the state. According to an official release from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the funds will be used for renovation, construction, and anti-soil erosion schemes.

Key Approvals

CM Dhami has approved Rs 488.40 lakh under NABARD for the renovation of the damaged Kadai Khala Gul in Bhopalpani of the Raipur development block of Dehradun and the repair of the main canal of Thano.

In the Sahaspur development block of Vikasnagar assembly constituency, Rs 156.57 lakh has been approved for the construction of a new tube well with a sprinkler irrigation system in village Chharba Jungleat Chowki Ward No. 15.

For the Kotdwar area of Dugdda development block of Pauri Garhwal district, Rs 463.16 lakh has been approved for the restoration and renovation of the right Kho canal.

In village Lwali of development block Pauri, Rs 175.54 lakh has been approved for the construction of a lift irrigation scheme.

In village Paithani of development block Thalisain, Rs 126.68 lakh has been approved for the construction of a lift irrigation scheme.

For the anti-soil erosion scheme from the Datgad drain in village Kimagadi of development block Pokhra of district Pauri Garhwal, Rs 452.26 lakh has been approved.

Under Ekeshwar, Rs 107.70 lakh has been approved for the anti-soil erosion scheme from the Kota drain in village Kota, and Rs 196.43 lakh for the anti-soil erosion scheme from the western Nyar river of Bagdasera Tok in Ekeshwar.

In Chaukhutia development block of Almora district, Rs 100.49 lakh has been approved for the construction of a sprinkler belt lift irrigation scheme.

In development block Dwarahat, Rs 217.31 lakh has been approved for the renovation of the Chhana canal.

In the Pokhari development block of Chamoli district, Rs 254.62 lakh has been approved for the renovation of 12 mountain canals.

In the Rudrapur development block of Udham Singh Nagar district, Rs 180.81 lakh has been approved for the lining work of Kichha Canal, and Rs 137.10 lakh for the lining work of Sirsa Canal.

For the modernisation and restoration of the Sisaiya Canal received from Uttar Pradesh state in Tehsil Sitarganj, Rs 290 lakh has been approved.

In Tehsil Khatima, Rs 212.51 lakh has been approved for the modernisation and restoration of Chandeli Minor, and Rs 162.58 lakh for the restoration of Canal No 03-03A, 03B.

For flood protection of the population of Manpur Saini Farm Colony, Silver City Colony, etc., and trenching ground from the Dhela River in Kashipur Municipal Corporation of Udham Singh Nagar district, Rs 488.0 lakh has been approved.

Under the NABARD head, Rs 761.33 lakh has been approved for the renovation of the Lastar main canal and the damaged 8 km of offshoots in the Jakholi development block of Rudraprayag district, and the construction of 10.214 km of new offshoots through HDPE pipe.

For the construction of four lift irrigation schemes in Taila, Sumari, Tumeta, and Sirwadi under the Jakholi development block, Rs 500.38 lakh has been approved.

For the two-and-a-half km-long Bhimtal bypass motor road under the state scheme in Bhimtal of Nainital district, Rs 795.69 lakh has been approved.

In compliance with the CM announcement, Rs 274.60 lakh has been approved for the installation of a total of 50 hand pumps in the Haridwar (urban) assembly under the Haridwar district.
