Amid the flood situation in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Khatima and other affected areas. He interacted with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel and posted photos of his aerial inspection on his official X handle.

Dhami said, “Aerial inspection of Khatima, Haldwani, Banbasa, Tanakpur, Sitarganj and other flood-affected areas under Kumaon division was done. Heavy rains have caused a lot of damage to the Terai region of the state.”

He assured that officials are providing continuous assistance and relocating affected people to safer places. During his visit to Tanakpur, Dhami met flood-affected residents and promised government support.

Dhami directed officers to ensure a regular supply of food, water, electricity, and transport. He also instructed them to spray medicine to prevent water-borne diseases. The Chief Minister conducted a field inspection in Gaulapar, Haldwani, and instructed officials to provide immediate assistance.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall in many areas, with extremely heavy rainfall in isolated regions. Residents are advised to stay safe and cautious. Dhami has directed disaster management officials to monitor the situation closely and ensure the safety of lives and property.
