Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Prepares for 38th National Games
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a high-level meeting at the CM’s Camp Office to discuss preparations for the 38th National Games. He instructed officials to complete all preparations by September and secure permission from the Indian Olympic Association for the 2024 event.
CM Dhami emphasized that the National Games will be a golden opportunity for Uttarakhand to gain recognition in sports, adventure tourism, and cultural heritage. He stressed the importance of ensuring high-level arrangements and selecting suitable venues in both urban and hilly districts.
Financial support will be sought from reputed industrial institutions under CSR, and the Sports Minister will review preparations weekly. The Chief Minister will also review progress periodically. Additionally, the construction of a Sports University in Haldwani should be expedited.
Special Chief Secretary Amit Sinha presented that the games will be held in Dehradun, Haldwani, Haridwar, Rudrapur, and hill districts, lasting 14 days. The event will be inaugurated in Dehradun and concluded in Haldwani. Senior officials from various departments are included in the organizing committee.
