CM Dhami highlighted issues such as natural disasters, forest fires, migration, and the floating population. He emphasized Uttarakhand’s strategic importance due to its proximity to international borders and requested policies tailored to the Himalayan states’ needs.

Proposed Solutions

The Chief Minister proposed a special policy to boost livelihoods in mountainous areas to curb migration. He also discussed an ambitious project to link snow-based rivers with rain-based ones, seeking technical support from NITI Aayog.

Development Initiatives

CM Dhami mentioned the ‘Sashakt Uttarakhand Initiative’ aimed at doubling the state’s economy by 2027, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. The state has already increased its economy by 1.3 times since 2022.

Vice Chairman Suman Beri congratulated Uttarakhand for its top ranking in Sustainable Development Goals and assured cooperation for the state’s development, including aspiring districts and development blocks.
