Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Announces Major Developments and Projects
In a significant event led by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a total of Rs 1 billion 95 crore 51 lakh 67 thousand was transferred online to 494 individuals affected by the Jamrani Dam Multipurpose Project. The remaining beneficiaries will receive their compensation after verification. The state has allocated 300.5 acres in Udham Singh Nagar for the rehabilitation of displaced families.
Chief Minister Dhami praised the cooperation of those affected by the Jamrani Dam Project, highlighting its future benefits, including increased groundwater levels and employment opportunities. The project will supply 117 MLD of water to Haldwani city by 2051 and provide irrigation water to farmers in Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar.
Development efforts in Haldwani city, costing Rs 2000 crores, are underway, with plans to transform it into a modern city. The Jamrani Dam Project is expected to be completed by 2029. The government is also focusing on education, health, tourism, and women’s development.
CM Dhami announced the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code law to empower women and the development of Khurpiyafarm as a smart city. Pantnagar Airport will soon offer national and international flights. Various projects, including a City Ecology Park, science laboratories, and flood protection, were inaugurated.
