On a recent visit to Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will soon be implemented, assuring that it is not intended to harass anyone. Speaking at the Civil Felicitation Ceremony at Indira Gandhi Sports Ground, CM Dhami emphasized the support received for this law during the 2022 assembly elections.

Additionally, CM Dhami revealed plans for an international airport in Pantnagar, with 850 acres of land already transferred to the Government of India for this purpose. He also inspected the construction site of AIIMS in Kichha, a project approved by Prime Minister Modi, fulfilling a long-standing demand for the region.

Highlighting the state’s development, CM Dhami mentioned the success of the Global Investors Summit and the balance between ecology and economy. He expressed his commitment to providing employment within the state to prevent residents from seeking jobs elsewhere.

CM Dhami also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee for establishing SIDCUL, which has contributed to the state’s infrastructure and industrial growth. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Uttarakhand’s development is accelerating, with plans for a new land law underway.
