Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Criticizes Congress Ahead of Haryana Elections

On Sunday, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami criticized the Congress party during a public meeting in Sohna, Haryana. He accused Congress of looting the state and called it the most dishonest and deceitful party in the country.

Dhami highlighted various development projects in Haryana, such as the Krishna Circuit, Harpa Circuit, and Saraswati Vikas Heritage Centre. He praised Haryana’s athletes for their achievements in the Olympics and emphasized the vision for development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.

He urged the public to support BJP candidate Tejpal Tanwar in the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections. Dhami contrasted the ideologies of the BJP and Congress, stating that the BJP focuses on nationalism and development, while Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) prioritize appeasement, corruption, and nepotism.

Dhami also mentioned the progress made in Haryana over the past decade, including the increase in Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops and the conservation of historical heritage. He accused Congress of insulting martyrs, forming alliances with parties that negotiate with Pakistan, and supporting stone-pelters.

He criticized Congress for their stance on religious issues, claiming that Hindus are not allowed to celebrate festivals in states governed by Congress. He cited incidents in Karnataka where stones were thrown during Ganesh Visarjan and alleged that the Congress government arrested even Lord Ganesh.

Haryana will hold elections on October 5 to elect a 90-member state legislative assembly, with the counting of votes set for October 8. In the 2019 elections, the BJP emerged as the single-largest party with 40 seats, while Congress won 30 seats.
