Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Approves Funds for Roads and Airport Expansion
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved funds for various development projects in the state. These projects include the reconstruction of the motor road in Champawat and the expansion of Pantnagar Airport.
Road Development Projects
Under the Chief Minister’s announcement, Rs 531.68 lakh has been approved for the reconstruction and improvement of the Chhinkachhina-Roulmel motor road in Pati block of Champawat district. Additionally, Rs 314.54 lakh has been allocated for the asphalting work of the Bangsheel-Goldhar motor road in the Dhanaulti assembly constituency of Tehri Garhwal district. Another Rs 581.23 lakh has been approved for the improvement and asphalting from km 1 to 5 to connect the Nyaya Panchayat headquarters in Ustoli in the Ghat development block of Tharali assembly constituency of Chamoli district.
Approval has also been given to name the Manoli Daboli Motor Road after Martyr Assistant Commandant Charu Chandra Pathak.
Pantnagar Airport Expansion
For the expansion of Pantnagar Airport, financial approval of Rs 24 lakh ninety-two thousand sixty-six has been given for the appointment of a DPR consultant to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) for four-lane work from 43.446 km to 93.226 km up to Rampur Kathgodam under NH-8 and realignment of 54+500 to 61+300 km i.e., 7 km under NH-87.
Dearness Allowance Increase
The CM Dhami-led BJP government has decided to give a 4% dearness allowance increase to employees working in corporations, bodies, and authorities starting January 1, 2024. This increase will also apply to serving and retired personnel in panchayats, autonomous institutions, and undertakings.
