Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami took stock of rescue and relief operations in disaster-affected areas in Champawat district on Saturday. CM Dhami conducted an aerial survey of various areas like Saryu Valley, Kali Valley, Pancheshwar Valley, Rausal, and Tamli.

After meeting with district officials at NHPC Guest House, Banbasa, the Chief Minister reviewed the relief, rescue operations, and rehabilitation efforts in areas affected by heavy rains. He also interacted with citizens, who presented him with memorandums of various problems. CM Dhami assured them of all possible help.

The Chief Minister reviewed repair works on roads and bridges damaged by the disaster and directed officials to restore drinking water and power lines promptly. He suggested using solar energy as an alternative. CM Dhami emphasized that relief should reach every affected person and that reconstruction work should be completed urgently. He instructed officials to personally visit affected areas for on-site inspections and ensure proper facilities for the people.

CM Dhami asked the District Magistrate to assess the damage in each area and submit a proposal to the government. He also instructed the District Magistrate and irrigation department to prepare a proposal for a permanent solution to the damage caused by Sharda River, Haddi River, and Kirora Nala.
