Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Distributes Appointment Letters and Campaigns in Jammu
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated virtually from Delhi in an appointment letter distribution program organized in Dehradun. On Friday, appointment letters were given to 1,094 junior engineers selected through direct recruitment for various departments under the Uttarakhand Combined State Junior Engineer Service Examination, 2023.
Earlier, Chief Minister Dhami thanked the Governor for approving the Uttarakhand Public (Government) and Private Property Damage Recovery (Ordinance) Act 2024. This law allows for compensation for damage caused to government and private property by rioters and reimburses expenses incurred by government staff engaged in riot control.
Dhami emphasized that law and order will be strictly enforced in Uttarakhand, ensuring no disturbances in the state. He also campaigned for BJP candidate Darshan Singh in Basantpur, Jammu and Kashmir, urging voters to support the party in the upcoming assembly elections. Dhami highlighted the importance of a ‘double-engine government’ for development and prosperity in the region.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, noting India’s rise to the fifth-largest economy and key developments like the abolition of Article 370. Dhami criticized opposition parties, accusing them of promoting corruption and separatism. Voting in Jammu and Kashmir has begun, with two phases remaining, and counting is set for October 8.
