Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Praises PM Modi During Rally in Jammu and Kashmir
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami praised Prime Minister Modi during a rally in Samba, Jammu and Kashmir, ahead of the J-K elections. Dhami credited Modi for making it possible for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to visit the region. He urged the public to reject the ideologies of opposition parties like PDP, Congress, and NC. Dhami addressed a rally in Samba to support BJP candidate Surjeet Singh Salathia. He mentioned that former Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde was once scared to visit Lal Chowk in Kashmir. Dhami emphasized that the current situation in J-K is due to Modi’s efforts.
He criticized the opposition parties for their stance on trade with Pakistan and the release of individuals involved in terrorism and separatism. Dhami called for the public to ‘defeat’ the thinking of PDP, Congress, and NC in the upcoming elections.
Abrogation of Article 370
Dhami spoke about the abrogation of Article 370 and its positive impact, such as record voting in Lok Sabha elections and improved security during the Baba Amarnath Yatra. He highlighted that more than 5 lakh devotees have visited Baba Amarnath and that cinema theatres now operate at night in the Valley.
Polling in J-K will be held in three phases starting from September 18, 25, and October 1, with the counting of votes on October 8.
