Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Vows to Take Strict Action Against Criminals
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], September 9: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Monday that strict measures will be taken against those who disrupt the peace in Uttarakhand. He emphasized that the people of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand are peace-loving and will not tolerate any criminal activities.
CM Dhami mentioned that a large-scale verification campaign is underway to identify criminal elements. He assured that the law will take its course and strict actions will be taken against offenders.
On September 4, CM Dhami visited the police headquarters in Dehradun to review the women’s safety helpline and other police activities. He instructed officers to enhance law and order in the state and take immediate action against those who disturb the peace.
He also stressed the importance of quick responses to crimes against women and ensuring that those in need receive prompt police assistance. The Chief Minister directed senior police officers to address issues related to demographic changes, conversions, and love jihad promptly.
CM Dhami urged the police to run intensive campaigns to catch criminals and regularly monitor individuals with criminal backgrounds. He also asked senior officers to inspect police stations and assist in strengthening them as needed.
