Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Plans Rs 424 Crore Upgrade for Badrinath Temple

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced on Saturday that a master plan worth Rs 424 crore has been prepared to upgrade facilities at the Badrinath temple. He stated that the government is committed to developing pilgrimage sites with a balance between ecology and economy.

Badrinath temple, located in the town of Badrinath, is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. The Himalayan region’s ecological sensitivity poses challenges for the government to improve facilities for pilgrims while addressing environmental concerns.

Meanwhile, CM Dhami met with Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to discuss strengthening communication services in rural areas. He requested the relocation of a post office in Nainital and the setup of 481 BSNL towers.

Dhami also met Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu to discuss expanding Pantnagar Airport and granting international status to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun.

Additionally, Dhami met Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari to discuss road connectivity projects. He requested notifications for six routes upgraded to National Highway status in 2016.
