Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Promote ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ Campaign
Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], August 30: The ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, an initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is being actively promoted across the country. In Uttarakhand, the ‘Society for Environment and Rural Development’ is leading the efforts under the guidance of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
Office bearers of the Society, including president Indrajit Singh Kadakoti, have been planting various species of plants in locations such as the 11 Battalion SSB DDhat, 7 Battalion ITBP Mirthi, and the Centralized Training Center in Srinagar (Garhwal). Chief Minister Dhami also participated by planting saplings in the ‘Haat Kalika’ temple complex.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a sapling in New Delhi and encouraged everyone to join the campaign to protect the environment for future generations. He emphasized the importance of planting trees to ensure a sufficient supply of oxygen and to keep the Earth safe.
