Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Worships Goddess Kali and Celebrates Festivals
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), 26 August: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami performed rituals to worship Goddess Kali at the Maa Hatkalika Temple in Gangolihat, Pithoragarh. He prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the state’s people. Sharing pictures on X, he expressed his joy in participating in the rituals.
Dhami also attended the closing ceremony of the Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav 2024 in Gangolihat, where he enjoyed performances by folk artists. On the occasion of Hindu New Year and Chaitra Navratri, Dhami, along with his wife Geeta Dhami, worshipped Maa Adishakti Bhagwati, praying for the state’s progress and the well-being of its residents. He also participated in Gauseva, feeding cows as part of the rituals.
In his posts on X, Dhami extended his greetings to the residents of Uttarakhand on Chaitra Navratri and Hindu New Year, emphasizing the government’s efforts for the state’s upliftment. The festival of Chaitra Navratri, celebrated from 9 April to 17 April, honors the nine incarnations of the goddess ‘Shakti’.
Meanwhile, BJP leaders welcomed Dhami in Dhumakot, where he campaigned for the BJP’s Pauri Garhwal candidate, Anil Baluni, who is contesting against Congress’s Ganesh Godiyal. Uttarakhand will vote in the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections on 19 April, with voting for all five Lok Sabha seats.
