Uttarakhand CM Dhami Meets PM Modi in Delhi

On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. During this meeting, CM Dhami congratulated PM Modi on the BJP’s significant victory in the Haryana Assembly elections, highlighting the public’s trust in the Prime Minister’s leadership.

CM Dhami presented a replica of the Kedarnath temple and prasad from Baba Kedarnath to PM Modi. He expressed gratitude for the Prime Minister’s ongoing support in Uttarakhand’s development.

Development Projects Discussed

CM Dhami sought approval for 21 water projects with a total capacity of 2,123 MW, as recommended by Expert Committee-2. He also requested the transfer of three ropeway projects for state development: Sonprayag-Gaurikund Kedarnath, Govind Ghat-Hemkund Sahib, and Kathgodam-Nainital.

Additionally, CM Dhami asked for the resumption of air services on the Dehradun-Gauchar-Dehradun and Dehradun-Chinyalisound-Dehradun routes under the Regional Connectivity Scheme. He also sought permission to operate small aircraft on the Chinyalisound airstrip in Uttarkashi district.

Infrastructure Requests

The Chief Minister requested the notification of two routes as National Highways: Khairna-Ranikhet-Bangidhar-Bajron Motorway (256.9 km) and Kathgodam-Bhimtal Lohaghat-Pancheshwar Motorway (189 km) to enhance connectivity between Kumaon and Garhwal. He also sought approval for the remaining length of the Dehradun Ring Road.
