Uttarakhand CM Dhami Honored at Syama Prasad Mukherjee Event in Mumbai

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami was honored with the Syama Prasad Mukherjee Smriti Samman at the ‘Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee Samman Samaroh’ in Dadar, West Mumbai. The event commemorated the Balidan Diwas of Syama Prasad Mukherjee.

Tribute to Syama Prasad Mukherjee

Chief Minister Dhami paid tribute to Mukherjee, praising his lifelong dedication to India’s unity and integrity. Dhami noted that Mukherjee founded the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, which has grown into the world’s largest party. He highlighted Mukherjee’s principles of equality, unity, and justice, and his vision of ‘one constitution, one head, and one flag.’

Achievements Under PM Modi

Dhami stated that Mukherjee’s dreams are being realized under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He mentioned the abolition of Article 370 in Kashmir and the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand, making it the first state to do so. Dhami emphasized that the Uniform Civil Code aims to ensure equal rights for all citizens, including women, the elderly, and children.

Uttarakhand’s Progress

Dhami highlighted that the people of Uttarakhand re-elected his government in the 2022 Assembly elections. Upon returning to power, his administration prioritized the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, gathering input from all state residents. He reiterated that the code is not meant to discriminate but to promote inclusive development and trust among all citizens.

Historical Works

Dhami also mentioned other significant achievements under PM Modi, such as the abolition of Triple Talaq and the construction of the Ram temple. He concluded by stating that continuous efforts are being made to build a strong society in India.
