50 Crore Participants Expected

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya announced that the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 in Prayagraj will be a grand event with around 50 crore participants. The festival will run from January 14 to February 26, 2025.

Preparations Underway

As part of the preparations, Uttar Pradesh Minister AK Sharma stated that development projects, including the construction of Pontoon bridges and roads, are underway to facilitate the transport of tourists and devotees. The government is also providing subsidies to improve facilities at dhabas, restaurants, and hotels on major routes.

Key Bathing Dates

The festival will begin on January 13, 2025, with the Poush Purnima bathing festival and end on February 26, 2025, with Maha Shivaratri. The main bathing festival, known as the ‘Shahi Snan’ (royal baths), will take place on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami).

Maurya’s Visit to Narmadeshwar Shiv Temple

Deputy Chief Minister Maurya shared his excitement on social media after visiting the Narmadeshwar Shiv Temple in Prayagraj. He performed rituals and prayed for the good health and prosperity of the devotees and local people.
