The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has announced the written examination for the direct recruitment of 60,244 constable positions in the civil police. The exams will be held on August 23, 24, 25, and August 30, 31, 2024.

Exam Schedule

The exams will be conducted in two shifts daily on the specified dates, with about 500,000 candidates appearing in each shift. This rescheduled exam follows directives from the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to ensure integrity and transparency.

Guidelines and Ordinance

To ensure transparency and fairness, the Uttar Pradesh government issued detailed guidelines on June 19, 2024, regarding exam preparations, selection of test centers, verification of candidates, and prevention of impersonation. Additionally, the Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Ordinance-2024, notified on July 1, 2024, stipulates severe penalties for cheating, including fines up to one crore rupees and life imprisonment.

Free Bus Services

Candidates will benefit from free bus services provided by the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. To use this service, candidates must download two additional copies of their admit card: one for travel to the exam center and the other for return travel. Both copies should be presented to the bus conductor.
