Uttar Pradesh Minister Jaiveer Singh Confident About BJP’s Success in Upcoming Bye-Elections
Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh has expressed confidence about the upcoming bye-elections, predicting strong support for the BJP. Bye-elections for 10 assembly seats in UP are expected later this year.
“In the Lok Sabha elections, the people of Uttar Pradesh were misled by the opposition, which led to widespread dissatisfaction. We are confident of getting very good support in these by-elections and expect a strong performance,” BJP MLA Jaiveer Singh said on Sunday. He added that comprehensive preparations for the by-polls have been made at all levels.
“The Uttar Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party has ensured meticulous preparation at every booth and with every BLO (block level officer),” Singh pointed out.
The ten assembly seats scheduled for by-polls are:
Constituency | District |
---|---|
Katehari | Ambedkar Nagar |
Ghaziabad | Ghaziabad |
Majhawan | Mirzapur |
Sisamau | Kanpur Nagar |
Karhal | Mainpuri |
Milkipur | Ayodhya |
Meerapur | Muzaffarnagar |
Khair | Aligarh |
Phulpur | Prayagraj |

Earlier, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya stated that the BJP is well-prepared for the by-polls and is confident of regaining its seats, as well as potentially capturing those held by the Samajwadi Party.
“BJP is preparing rigorously from the booth level to the Vidhan Sabha level across all 10 constituencies. We are confident of not only reclaiming our seats but also capturing seats currently held by the Samajwadi Party,” Maurya said.
Earlier, the Samajwadi Party appointed election in-charges for six of the assembly by-poll seats. Out of the ten seats going to the polls, five were previously won by the Samajwadi Party, three by the BJP, and one each by the Rashtriya Lok Dal and Nishad Party, both of which are NDA partners.
