Named ‘Kalyan Mitra’ (Spiritual Friend), NORBU aims to make Buddhist wisdom more accessible and interactive. The project was initiated by Lim Kooi Fong, a Buddhist from Malaysia, and developed with the help of Ven Khemanando, a Russian monk and technical trainer.
Fong joined the event remotely from Malaysia, highlighting the global collaboration behind NORBU. The AI app was launched in Sarnath, a significant location for Buddhism, to continue spreading Buddha’s message worldwide.
