Uttar Pradesh Introduces Bhishma Cube Mobile Hospital for Mahakumbh 2025
The Uttar Pradesh government is gearing up for Mahakumbh 2025 with advanced emergency response measures, including the introduction of the ‘Bhishma Cube’ mobile hospital. This innovative medical unit, previously used during the Ram Mandir Prana Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, will be deployed to enhance emergency preparedness at the event.
Features of Bhishma Cube
According to Dr. V.K. Mishra, Joint Director of Medical Health in Prayagraj, each Bhishma Cube can treat up to 200 people at once. It offers surgical capabilities, diagnostic tools, and comprehensive patient care. The unit is robust, waterproof, lightweight, and can be transported by hand, bicycle, or drone. It can even be airdropped from aircraft and becomes fully operational within 12 minutes of deployment.
Jointly developed by the Indian Air Force, healthcare institutions, and defense technology experts, the Bhishma Cube uses artificial intelligence and data analytics for real-time coordination and efficient medical management.
Global Recognition
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the Bhishma Cube’s global importance by presenting units to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a visit in August.

In addition to healthcare advancements, the Uttar Pradesh government is enhancing the tourism sector. With Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, training programs are being conducted to improve the skills of vendors and service providers.
