Uttar Pradesh Government Launches New App for Schools with Help from UPLC
The Uttar Pradesh government has started a new project to improve aided schools in the state. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has approved a detailed action plan to connect these schools to an online platform. A mobile app will be developed to include important information about students and staff, such as Aadhaar details.
Features of the New App
The app will have many features, including:
- Geo-tagging
- Teaching staff module
- Student and staff registration
- School infrastructure registration
The Social Welfare Department has given the task of developing this app to Uttar Pradesh Electronics Corporation Limited (UPLC). UPLC is selecting companies to help with the project and has started the process through e-tender.
Data Collection and Security
Important data from aided schools will be collected, including information about students, staff, and schools. This data will be used to create a System Requirements Specification (SRS) and a Detailed Project Report (DPR). The app will include advanced security features like login access, user role defining, and analytics.
App Development and Maintenance
The app will manage data for over 60,000 students and 400 schools. It will have a 16-GB RAM-based hosting service, one terabyte of storage, and will be search engine optimized. Annual maintenance and a three-day training for staff will also be provided.
