Uttar Pradesh Faces Heavy Rains: Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak and CM Yogi Adityanath Lead Relief Efforts

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh – Many parts of Uttar Pradesh have been affected by heavy rains, causing floods in several districts including Kushinagar, Balrampur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, and Shravasti. Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak announced that district officials have been instructed to provide relief materials and arrange transportation for those affected.

With the monsoon season in full swing, the water levels of rivers are rising, leading to flood situations. Pathak stated, “The state government is continuing relief material and rescue work in the flood-affected areas. People trapped in flood-affected areas are being rescued and brought to safe places.”

Pathak emphasized that all district officials have been ordered to deliver relief materials and make transportation arrangements. He also mentioned that people should be informed immediately if there is any danger, and all necessary arrangements should be made.

On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath provided Rs 4 lakh to each of the families of four people who lost their lives in the floods. CM Adityanath also conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected Shravasti district and distributed relief materials to the people. He noted that heavy rainfall in Nepal and Uttarakhand on July 6th and 7th contributed to the flooding in Uttar Pradesh.

The floods have caused significant damage to houses in affected villages, forcing people to move to makeshift shelters.
