On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the foundation stone-laying ceremony for 127 developmental projects in Mirzapur. He highlighted the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide fresh water and eliminate water-borne diseases. The CM emphasized the importance of the Har Ghar Jal Yojana, which will ensure clean drinking water and freedom from water-borne diseases.

Yogi Adityanath also spoke about the ‘Har Ghar Nal’ scheme, which aims to provide a tap in every house. He announced that Mirzapur and Soanbhadra districts will be getting medical colleges, with Soanbhadra also receiving a new college for youth to study medicine. Additionally, a nursing center with a 100% placement guarantee will be established in Mirzapur Medical College.

The CM mentioned the construction of a new university in Mirzapur named after Maa Vindhyavasini, which will start educational work from the next session. He highlighted that previous governments did not implement schemes properly and discriminated in providing benefits. Under the current government, schemes have benefitted the poor, farmers, and women without discrimination.

Yogi Adityanath also noted the transformation of Mirzapur over the past seven and a half years, including improvements in connectivity and the development of the holy place of Vindhyavasini. He mentioned an employment fair organized by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, where people received tablets, smartphones, and other benefits.
