Incident Details
A damaged gas cylinder and other ‘objectionable’ materials were found near the railway track where the Kalindi Express had halted. The train, traveling from Prayagraj to Bhiwani in Haryana, stopped after the driver spotted the cylinder and applied emergency brakes. The incident occurred around 8 pm near Munderi village, between Barrajpur and Bilhaur stations.
Investigation Underway
Assistant Commissioner of Police Harish Chander stated that the driver noticed the cylinder around 8:30 p.m. and immediately stopped the train. The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police were notified and launched an initial investigation. Senior officials and forensic teams are currently conducting a thorough investigation.

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati also commented on the matter, calling for a high-level investigation and strict action against the culprits to maintain public and rail safety.
