Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath Introduces New Online Registration Rules 2024
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held an important meeting with officials from the Stamp and Registration Department to discuss the Online Registration Rules 2024. He stressed the need for an online system for stamps and registration to make life easier and improve record and data management.
Key Directives
CM Yogi directed the reduction of stamp registration fees for rent agreements of residential, non-residential, and commercial properties. He suggested creating different brackets for this and simplifying the agreement process.
Phase 1 and Phase 2 of E-Registration
In Phase 1, government agencies, including development and industrial development authorities, will be approved for sale deeds, agreements, and lease deeds. Photos and signatures of the parties involved will be captured digitally or electronically, and the Registrar Officer will complete the registration based on electronically transmitted data.
In Phase 2, the system will extend to RERA-approved institutions for sale deeds, agreements, and lease deeds, following the same digital process.
E-Filing Process
Under e-filing, processing of bank files has already started in Phase 1. In Phase 2, rent agreements of up to 12 months, online stamping, e-signature, and e-KYC verification of parties and witnesses will be ensured through Aadhaar.
Benefits of the New System
CM Yogi highlighted that the new e-registration system will provide significant relief to citizens by eliminating the need for physical presence at registry offices. This will save time, reduce legal issues, and improve office efficiency. Electronic records will ensure safety and facilitate easy verification.
