Bridgetown, Barbados, June 22: After losing to West Indies in the Super Eights T20 World Cup, USA captain Aaron Jones shared his thoughts on the team’s journey and their upcoming match against England. Despite not advancing to the next stage, the USA team has impressed fans worldwide with their performance.

USA will face England in their final Super Eights match. Although they lost to West Indies and South Africa, their journey included a win over Pakistan and close games against India and South Africa. Aaron Jones emphasized the importance of the game against England and expressed pride in the team’s achievements.

Jones said, “I think the game against England is important. For me personally, every time I put on a US jersey, I want to win the game, regardless of who we are playing against. Over the last couple of weeks, starting from winning the series against Bangladesh, it really and truly opened the eyes of everybody in the world, not only for US cricket, but associate cricket in general.”

He added, “Obviously, we always believed, even before the World Cup started, that we could beat any team in the world. So definitely we want to win the game against England and finish well, although we cannot advance in the next round for sure. For me personally, I will go into the game just looking to win the game and doing as best as possible as a team and me personally as well. And then let us see what happens after that.”

In the match against West Indies, USA was bowled out for 128 runs in 19.5 overs. Andries Gous scored 29 runs, and Nitish Kumar added 20 runs.
