UP Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar and Opposition Clash Over Exam Irregularities in Lok Sabha

On the first day of the 18th Lok Sabha session, the opposition, including the INDIA bloc, staged a symbolic protest against irregularities in examinations, demanding that the government act according to the Constitution.

Government’s Response

Uttar Pradesh cabinet minister Om Prakash Rajbhar responded to the protest by saying, “The opposition has no work left except to protest, so they will do their work, the government will do its work, and the proceedings of the House will run smoothly. The government has been continuously working for the development of the people and for the progress of the country. Those who want injustice to the public will remain an obstacle in the House.”

Opposition’s Stand

Samajwadi Party spokesperson Udayveer Singh criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating, “The mentality of the Bharatiya Janata Party is not to protect the Constitution. That is why today all the MPs of the opposition INDIA Alliance reached Parliament House with a copy of the Constitution and did a symbolic protest so that the government knows that the country runs by the Constitution and not by dictatorship.”

He further added, “To save the Constitution and the country, we will work to save the Constitution from the Parliament to the road.”

Exam Leak Allegations

On the issue of exam leaks, Udayveer Singh accused the BJP of corruption, saying, “This is a case of pure corruption, due to which lakhs and crores of rupees were embezzled and the future of the youth was played with. The paper is leaked first; many youth lose their age. The BJP is leaking the paper by making its own arrangements.”
