New Delhi, September 18: Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the second edition of the Inclusion Conclave, organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Mandaviya emphasized India’s progress in sports under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, focusing on quality training, inclusive infrastructure, and grassroots talent discovery. He highlighted India’s commitment to empowering Divyang sportspersons and strengthening anti-doping efforts through international cooperation.

During the conclave, Mandaviya released the ‘NADA India’s Anti-Doping Guide’ in Braille Script, promoting inclusivity in the anti-doping landscape.

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Raksha Nikhil Khadse reaffirmed India’s dedication to ensuring everyone, regardless of background, gender, age, or ability, can participate and excel in sports. She emphasized the commitment to inclusion, ethical practices, and anti-doping efforts.

Rajesh Aggarwal, Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, and Chief Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, also addressed the gathering. Dr. Mayumi YaYa Yamamoto, Director, Asia/Oceania Office, WADA, joined the conclave virtually.

UNESCO COP9 Bureau Chairperson Matar Ba, Neil Murrell, Chairperson of UNESCO Anti-Doping Convention’s Fund Approval Committee, and their members were present. The conclave featured panel discussions on legal frameworks, technology, and sport values, along with reflections from para-athletes and an inclusive anti-doping workshop.
