Union Ministers Bandi Sanjay Kumar and G Kishan Reddy Celebrate International Yoga Day in Telangana

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar joined a Yoga session in Karimnagar on the 10th International Day of Yoga. Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy also participated in a Yoga session at Nizam College Grounds in Hyderabad.

Earlier, both ministers held a roadshow in Hyderabad and performed puja at Bhagyalakshmi temple. Yoga events are being held across the country to mark this special day.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Leads Celebrations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the celebrations from Sher-e-Kashmir International Convention Centre in Srinagar. This year’s theme, ‘Yoga for Self and Society,’ highlights yoga’s importance for individual well-being and societal harmony.

Addressing the event, PM Modi mentioned that India’s proposal for International Yoga Day was supported by 177 nations. He recalled the first celebration in 2015, where 35,000 people performed Yogasanas together in Delhi.

Since 2015, the Prime Minister has led the International Day of Yoga celebrations at various iconic locations, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ranchi, Lucknow, Mysuru, and the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
