Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day and urged everyone to take a resolution for a developed India by 2047. He honored the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence and hoisted the national flag at his Delhi residence.

Chouhan shared images of the flag hoisting on social media, expressing his pride and congratulating everyone. He said, ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai.’

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy also celebrated by hoisting the national flag and planting a sapling as part of the ‘EK Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. He extended his best wishes to all, especially those working in the coal sector, and emphasized the vision of a strong India by 2047.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi began the day by paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat. He then proceeded to the Red Fort, where he inspected the Guard of Honour, hoisted the tricolour, and addressed the nation. In his 11th consecutive Independence Day address, PM Modi paid tribute to the freedom fighters and expressed sympathy for those affected by natural disasters.
