Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar and West Bengal MPs Meet Prime Minister Modi
Union Minister of State for Education and Development of the North Eastern Region, Sukanta Majumdar, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the members of the Lok Sabha from West Bengal. Majumdar, who is also the West Bengal unit president of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), expressed their united commitment to serve the people of Bengal and contribute to PM Modi’s vision of Sonar Bangla.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education celebrated the 4th anniversary of the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 with Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam 2024 in New Delhi’s Manekshaw Centre Auditorium. They unveiled four books and lecture notes aimed at promoting Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) among students and teachers.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan highlighted that the four-year journey of NEP 2020 has been about bringing transformative change to the country’s education system to nurture a new generation of learners. Minister of State for Education, Sukanta Majumdar, thanked Prime Minister Modi for his progressive ideas that shaped NEP 2020, which integrates traditional knowledge with modern advancements and value education with nation-building.
Majumdar also noted that the Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Samagam represents a unique participatory dialogue involving stakeholders from every corner of the education sector.
