Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar Praises Budget 2024-25, While West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Criticizes It
Union Minister of State and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar praised the Budget 2024-25, calling it a comprehensive budget focused on job creation and benefiting all sections of society. He highlighted a provision of Rs 1.48 lakh crore for job creation, education, and skilling, and mentioned tax rebates for the middle class.
However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee criticized the budget, calling it politically motivated, directionless, and anti-people. She accused the budget of being biased and not addressing the needs of the common people, especially in regions like Darjeeling and Kalimpong.
