Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Criticizes Congress-JMM Alliance in Jharkhand
Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a strong attack on the Congress-JMM alliance in Jharkhand, accusing them of being dishonest and failing to fulfill their promises. He stated that the BJP would expose the Hemant Soren government for not delivering on their commitments.
Accusations Against the Alliance
Chouhan claimed that the Congress and JMM parties have become ‘machines of lying’ and have not achieved success despite their claims. He pointed out that if the Lok Sabha results were converted into Assembly results, the BJP would have won 52 out of 81 seats.
Unfulfilled Promises
Chouhan questioned the achievements of the alliance during their five-year term, highlighting that JMM’s manifesto contains 144 promises and Congress’s manifesto has 133 promises. He challenged Hemant Soren to explain how many promises have been fulfilled.
He accused the government of deceiving various sections of society, including:
- Youth: Promised jobs and financial support for graduates and postgraduates, which were not delivered.
- Women: Promised Rs 2000 per month, which was not provided.
- Farmers: Promised a farmers’ bank and discontinued the Mukhyemantri Krishi Samriddhi Yojana, which provided Rs 5000 under the previous BJP government.
Chouhan emphasized that the BJP would present these unfulfilled promises to the public and hold the Hemant Soren government accountable ahead of the upcoming elections in Jharkhand.
