Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan Criticizes Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren in Ramgarh Visit

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren for replacing tribal leader Champai Soren as CM, accusing him of dynastic control. Speaking in Ramgarh, Chouhan said, “What was the fault of Champai Soren? You made him the CM, you could have let him continue, but you removed a tribal CM. Just because you want to have the hold of just one family…”

During his visit, Chouhan interacted with locals who shared their struggles with high construction costs and corruption. They mentioned that the price of sand had increased significantly, making it difficult to build homes.

Chouhan predicted a significant change in the upcoming assembly elections, with the BJP poised to defeat the current government. He emphasized the BJP’s commitment to ending the misrule of the coalition government in Jharkhand, calling the state “wonderful” with tremendous potential.

Chouhan also engaged with women of Self Help Groups (SHGs) at a panchayat secretariat in Ramgarh, praising their efforts towards realizing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Lakhpati Didi’. He acknowledged Modi’s initiative to build houses for extremely backward castes.

Meanwhile, Hemant Soren was sworn in as the 13th Chief Minister of Jharkhand on July 4. Soren, who was released on bail in a land scam case, had previously resigned as CM before his arrest in January. The floor test of the new government will be held on July 8.
