Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and PM Modi Address Concerns Over Infiltration in Jharkhand

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has raised concerns about Bangladeshi infiltrators entering Jharkhand, claiming they pose a threat to the state. He criticized the JMM-Congress government for allegedly using these infiltrators as a vote bank, accusing them of providing Aadhar and Ration cards to add them to the voting list. Chouhan highlighted a decrease in the Santhal tribal population from 44% to 28% and promised that the BJP is committed to removing these infiltrators.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also addressed the issue, promising that a BJP-led government would take steps to stop infiltration and return land to tribal women. He emphasized the party’s commitment to protecting ‘roti, beti aur maati’ (bread, daughters, and land) and accused the JMM-Congress-RJD of endangering Jharkhand’s identity. Modi assured that measures would be taken to prevent infiltrators from targeting tribal daughters and seizing land.

The elections for Jharkhand’s 81-seat assembly are scheduled in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting on November 23.
