Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan Rallies for BJP in Jharkhand

In Khijri, Ranchi, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, who is overseeing the BJP’s election campaign in Jharkhand, expressed confidence in the party’s success. He emphasized that the people of Khijri are united in their support for the BJP to bring development, security, and better opportunities to the state. Chauhan stated, “The people of Khijri have resolved to protect Jharkhand’s ‘mati, beti, and roti.’ They have decided to ensure BJP’s victory for development, job opportunities, and improved law and order.”

On the same day, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla criticized the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-Congress alliance, labeling it a threat to the tribal community’s ‘Roti, Beti, Maati, Sanskriti.’ He claimed that the alliance poses an existential threat, prompting people to support the BJP against what he described as a “JMM ‘Jhol, Mafia, and Muslim appeasement’ government.”

Additionally, Mandal Murmu, who previously supported Hemant Soren’s nomination, joined the BJP. Murmu, a descendant of notable ancestors Sidhu-Kanhu and Phulo Jhano, pledged to address demographic changes in Santhal Pargana. His joining was witnessed by Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The Jharkhand Assembly elections are scheduled for November 13 and 20, with results to be announced on November 23. In the previous elections, JMM, BJP, and Congress secured varying numbers of seats, with BJP aiming to regain its past strength.
