In Ranchi, Jharkhand, Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated a new multipurpose facilitation centre aimed at training Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) farmers. The event also marked the beginning of hostel construction. Chouhan praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, emphasizing the government’s goal to double farmers’ income and improve agricultural quality.

Chouhan highlighted the importance of diversifying income sources through activities like animal rearing, beekeeping, and fish farming. He stressed the need for quality seeds and plants, noting ongoing research efforts to enhance agricultural output and income. The minister also mentioned training initiatives to reduce poverty among farmers.

Prime Minister Modi recently announced the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan in Jharkhand, a scheme designed to connect tribal communities with government programs. Named after freedom fighter Birsa Munda, the scheme has a budget of over Rs 79,150 crore and aims to significantly benefit Jharkhand’s tribal population.
