Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal Criticizes Congress at Assam Rally

In Biswanath, Assam, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, Sarbananda Sonowal, launched a strong critique against the Congress party. He accused them of being associated with “communalism, corruption, and conflict” while campaigning for BJP candidate Diganta Ghatowal in the Behali Assembly constituency bye-election.

Sonowal addressed public meetings at Bedeti and Borjaroni, emphasizing the BJP-led NDA government’s commitment to nation-building and the vision of ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas.’ He criticized the Congress for their past governance, claiming it was marked by divisionary tactics and misdeeds.

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development agenda, highlighting the progress and hope it has brought to Assam and the Northeast. Sonowal stated that the NDA, under Modi’s leadership, has transformed India, moving away from the corruption and poor governance of previous decades.

Sonowal was accompanied by several Assam government ministers and BJP leaders, including Sanjay Kishan, Piyush Hazarika, Pabitra Margherita, Ranjit Dutta, Rameshwar Teli, Bhuvan Pegu, Diganta Kalita, Amiya Kumar Bhuyan, and Mana Deka.
