Union Minister Prataprao Jadhav Announces 10 New AYUSH Institutes in India

New Delhi [India], August 31: Union Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Prataprao Jadhav announced the opening of ten new AYUSH institutes in the next five years. The announcement was made during his visit to the All India Institute of Ayurveda.

Jadhav inspected the campus and reviewed the facilities and treatments provided to patients. He emphasized the government’s commitment to promoting Ayurveda and traditional medical systems, aligning with the Prime Minister’s vision to bring Ayurveda to every home.

Jadhav stated, “Ayurveda and our traditional medical system have suffered a lot during the colonial period and foreign invaders, but after the year 2014, the circumstances have changed under the leadership of the Modi government. Today, the global view on Yoga and Ayurveda has changed and its public acceptance has increased rapidly.”

Prof. (Dr.) Tanuja Nesri, Director of the Institute, expressed gratitude to the Minister for his role in promoting Ayurveda. She said, “In future, we will continue to get his guidance and support in reaching Ayurveda to the masses and establishing it on the world stage.”

Jadhav also inaugurated an auditorium built in memory of the late Medical Superintendent Sanjay Gupta, who died during the Covid pandemic. Additionally, he released a brochure for the upcoming International Conference AROHA-2024, scheduled from October 17 to 19.

The event was attended by key officials, including Deputy Director General of the IC Department of AYUSH Satyajit Paul and many others.
