Karnataka Minister and Congress leader KN Rajanna had earlier requested the party high command to consider appointing more Deputy CMs for better representation of communities supporting the Congress party.

Corruption Allegations Against CM Siddaramaiah

Union Minister Joshi also accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of corruption in the Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation. This followed the suicide of an official, Chandrasekaran, who left a note alleging multi-crore corruption in the corporation and demanding action against the named officials.
