Union Minister Piyush Goyal and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar Visit Lalbaugcha Raja in Mumbai
Union Minister Piyush Goyal paid his respects to ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’ in Mumbai, experiencing a profound sense of tranquility and energy. He shared on social media, ‘Today I had the good fortune of having a divine darshan of ‘Lalbaugcha Raja’. As soon as I bowed my head at the feet of Vighnaharta, I felt immense peace and energy in my mind. Ganpati Bappa Morya!’
Goyal, along with his family, offered prayers and prayed for the welfare of the entire world, including North Mumbai. He expressed his admiration for the devotion of the people and the teachings of Lord Ganesh, stating, ‘Ganesh Utsav not only brings the society together, gives new learning to the society, but also connects our young generation with the culture and also makes them recognize our heritage.’
Earlier, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and his wife Sudesh Dhankhar also visited Lalbaugcha Raja, offering prayers to Lord Ganesha. The iconic Ganesh idol, managed by the Kambli family for over 80 years, draws thousands of devotees every year during Ganesh Chaturthi.
The first look of this year’s Lalbaugcha Raja was unveiled on September 5. Ganesh Chaturthi, a 10-day festival that began on September 6, will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. During this festival, Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles. Devotees across India and abroad celebrate by welcoming Ganesh idols into their homes, offering prayers, and visiting colorful pandals.
