Union Minister Nityanand Rai Visits Srinagar and Meets Locals Near LoC

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, visited the residents of Srinagar living along the Line of Control (LoC) on Sunday. He emphasized the overall development of these areas with the coordination of the Border Security Force (BSF) and local administration.

Nityanand Rai paid a two-day visit to the BSF FTR Head Quarter in Kashmir to review the security situation and operational preparedness on the LoC. During his visit, he interacted with field commanders and troops, reviewed security arrangements, and discussed additional infrastructure and operational equipment needs.

While appreciating the commitment and dedication of BSF troops, Rai briefed them about various government initiatives for capacity building and welfare of all Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). He also interacted with the civilian population of Niru village.

On July 14, a strategic security review meeting was held at Frontier HQ BSF, Kashmir, with senior BSF officers to assess current challenges and future strategies. The focus was on enhancing intelligence capabilities, inter-agency coordination, and community engagement to ensure holistic security.

Rai highlighted the significance of community cooperation in maintaining peace and fostering development, urging local leaders and citizens to support security efforts. He praised the dedication and bravery of BSF troops, stating that their efforts are crucial for national security and that the government is committed to providing necessary support to enhance their capabilities and welfare.
