Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Celebrates Janjatiya Gaurav Divas in Chhattisgarh

Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Mansukh Mandaviya, emphasized the significant role of youth in India’s independence and the COVID-19 pandemic. He encouraged them to pledge towards a developed India and social welfare. The event, ‘Maati Ke Veer’ footmarch, was held in Jashpur to honor ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’ with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai.

Mandaviya highlighted Lord Birsa Munda’s sacrifice for freedom and announced a new sports stadium in Jashpur. Chief Minister Sai expressed pride in hosting the event for Munda’s 150th birth anniversary and thanked Prime Minister Modi for recognizing November 15 as ‘Janjatiya Gaurav Divas’.

Sai praised tribal culture’s connection to nature and its role in preserving Sanatan culture. He mentioned initiatives like Eklavya schools and Ayushman Bharat Yojana for tribal welfare. He noted the decline of Naxalism and the spread of democracy in Chhattisgarh, emphasizing infrastructure development in remote areas.

The event featured a video on Lord Birsa Munda, honors for tribal youth, and an exhibition on tribal heroes and culture. It was attended by various ministers, MPs, MLAs, and citizens.
