Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya inaugurated the second edition of the Inclusion Conclave organized by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) in Delhi. The event took place on Wednesday and was attended by various dignitaries, including Raksha Nikhil Khadse, Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports.

During his speech, Minister Mandaviya emphasized India’s achievements in sports and the government’s commitment to promoting sports by empowering disabled athletes. He stated, “Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has made remarkable strides in sports. Our focus remains on providing quality training, developing inclusive infrastructure, and discovering talent from the grassroots.”

Raksha Nikhil Khadse also addressed the conclave, highlighting the country’s dedication to ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, has the opportunity to excel in sports.

Anti-Doping Efforts

The minister also discussed India’s role in anti-doping efforts through international cooperation and enhanced capacities. He released the ‘NADA India’s Anti-Doping Guide’ in braille, breaking barriers of exclusion in the anti-doping landscape.

The conclave featured engaging panel discussions on key topics such as legal frameworks, technology, and sports values. More than 500 people participated, including Dr. Mayumi YaYa Yamamoto, Director of the Asia/Oceania office of WADA, who joined virtually. The event served as a platform for collaboration, sharing insights, and developing strategies to ensure fair play and tailored anti-doping programs for all athletes.
