Union Minister Krishan Pal Gurjar Confident of BJP’s Victory in Haryana Elections
Faridabad, Haryana – Union Minister and BJP leader Krishan Pal Gurjar expressed confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will win the Haryana assembly elections for the third consecutive time. He emphasized that the BJP has provided ‘transparent and honest governance’ over the past ten years.
Speaking about the elections, Gurjar stated, “BJP government is going to be formed in Haryana for the third time. BJP has given transparent and honest governance. People of Haryana have seen a government that gives development and good governance for the first time.” He also mentioned that the people of Haryana trust both Prime Minister Modi and the BJP.
On the same day, former Haryana Chief Minister and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar assured that the BJP would secure more than 50 seats in the assembly polls. Voting for the 90 assembly seats in Haryana began after extensive campaigning by major political parties, including the ruling Congress and BJP.
According to Haryana’s Chief Electoral Officer, Pankaj Agarwal, over 2 crore voters are expected to cast their votes. A total of 1,031 candidates are contesting across 90 constituencies, with 20,632 polling booths set up. The election results will be announced on October 8, alongside those of Jammu and Kashmir.
The key parties contesting in Haryana include the BJP, Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and alliances like INLD-BSP and JJP-ASP. The JJP-ASP alliance is contesting all 90 constituencies, with JJP fielding candidates in 70 seats and ASP in 20.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 40 seats and formed a coalition government with the JJP, which won 10 seats. The Congress secured 31 seats, but the JJP later left the coalition.
