Union Minister of Civil Aviation, Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, announced that the ministry is actively investigating recent hoax bomb threats. The police are working to identify those responsible for these incidents.

Minister Naidu stated, “There are continuous threats observed in the last week. We are thoroughly pursuing these issues, and cases have been registered. The police are investigating who is behind it.”

He mentioned potential changes in legislation and rules to address the issue. Naidu explained, “It is difficult to determine the reason behind these hoax calls at this time. The police need to catch the perpetrators first.”

Naidu noted that the threats seem to originate from social media, causing chaos. The ministry is collaborating with intelligence and home affairs to prevent such incidents. “We are taking it very seriously and want to ensure these incidents do not happen,” he added.

Naidu emphasized that those responsible will face strong punishment once identified.

Security Threats on Vistara and Akasa Air

Vistara and Akasa Air received security threats on twelve flights, prompting emergency protocols. Vistara flights affected included routes from Delhi to Frankfurt and Singapore to Mumbai. Akasa Air flights included routes from Ahmedabad to Mumbai and Delhi to Goa.

Both airlines swiftly responded, ensuring passenger and crew safety. Vistara and Akasa Air confirmed that all relevant authorities were notified, and security procedures were implemented.
