Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia Praises Madhya Pradesh’s New Budget for 2024-25

Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 4: Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia applauded the Madhya Pradesh budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, presented in the state assembly. He called it a budget for public good and development. Deputy Chief Minister and State Finance Minister Jagdish Devda presented the Rs 3.65 lakh crore budget, the first of the current BJP-led state government.

Scindia said, ‘The budget of Madhya Pradesh is a budget for the public good and development-oriented. In all the sectors be it urban, rural, education or health, the budget of everything has increased. I congratulate CM Mohan Yadav for such a good budget to ensure the development of the people of the state.’

He added that the budget would bring a new revolution in agriculture and industry, creating new job opportunities. The budget is 16% higher than the previous year’s Rs 3.14 lakh crore budget. It aims to double the budget size in the next five years, increase capital investment, expand road, irrigation, and electricity facilities, improve health services, attract investment for job creation, and ensure good governance.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also praised the budget, stating, ‘The Madhya Pradesh government broke all records and presented over Rs 3.60 lakh crore budget today. No tax has been imposed in this budget and requirements of all departments have been met and raised. The theme of the budget is “Viksit Madhya Pradesh, Viksit Bharat”. We have set a goal that the state budget will be doubled in the next five years, and Madhya Pradesh will contribute to the GDP in a big way.’

Yadav emphasized that the budget takes care of all sections of society, including youth, poor, women, and farmers. The state government will promote IT and encourage youth to join Indian Administrative Service and other government services.
